One frame – countless moments.

Our interchangeable motif plates are precisely manufactured for your LED frame.
Replacement is incredibly simple: remove plate, insert new motif – done.
Since both the LED technology and the passe-partout remain in the frame, changing takes less than a minute.

What makes a motif plate so special

Each of our motif plates is a lithophane – a light relief created by 3D printing from PLA (an environmentally friendly, cornstarch-based plastic).
This unique technique uses material thicknesses instead of colors to illuminate your image.

This is how your motif looks:

  • Switched off: The plate appears plain white and textured.
  • Switched on: The varying layer thicknesses create a photorealistic image with impressive depth.

Only the light from your LED frame truly brings your motif to life.

Choose your level of detail

To ensure your motif is perfectly showcased, we offer two technical variants:

Standard Resolution – 0.4 mm Nozzle

• high contrast
• ideal for portraits and clear motifs
• production time: approx. 8.5 hours

HD Resolution – 0.2 mm Nozzle

• finer details & softer transitions
• perfect for detailed or atmospheric motifs
• production time: approx. 27 hours

Important note on image quality

Since our motif plates are created using 3D printing, colored photos are not converted into classic grayscale. Instead, the printer creates your motif through varying layer thicknesses in CYMW colors (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, White).
These color channels overlap to represent the original color information of your image.

This overlap creates an effect that can appear slightly softer – similar to how one might mix colors with a brush directly on the image.
This means that color photos can generally appear slightly blurred .

Monochrome or black and white motifs, on the other hand, appear significantly sharper because there are no overlapping color channels, and the contrasts are much more clearly rendered.

Our HD variant (0.2 mm nozzle) can extract significantly more fine details from colored images, but the ultimate sharpness always depends on the quality and contrast strength of the original image.

If a motif is technically problematic or would look better in black and white, we will contact you personally before starting production.
